天堂般的美麗

The Mission（傳教）是一部關於耶穌會傳教士在18世紀到南美洲傳教經曆的英國電影。由Robert DeNiro在1986年主演，意大利著名作曲家莫裏康Ennio Morricone配樂，它獲得了金棕櫚獎和奧斯卡最佳攝影獎，並列在美國電影學院100年電影配樂的第23位。教皇約翰保羅二世也為之讚美，被選為頭號宗教電影。

Gabriel's Oboe(雙簧管)是傳教士在傳教生涯中，遭遇土著人誤解和敵對，生命處在最危險時吹奏的。它體現了傳教士在困難無助時，沒有放棄自己的理想和信念，以及對世人的寬容。

莎拉布萊曼Sarah Brightman亦為這段美妙的音樂所傾倒，寫信給作曲家莫裏康，要求填詞演唱這首歌曲。開始，她也是被拒絕，最後，莫裏康被她的真誠所感動，同意她用這段樂曲填詞演唱。這就是今天我們聽到這首天堂般美麗的歌曲：
