Ready or not, here I come.  You really don't have to worry about your readiness for the race if running time is not your primary concern.  Just go there and enjoy.  The worst scenario would be that you run and walk.  I knew that some people walk through a whole course.

Not sure what kind of enery food you used.  I have never used any form of energy food in my trainning.  On race day, I did use a few packages of GU genergy gel.  Here is how the gels look like: http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Gel-Lemon-Sublime-24-Count/dp/B000FMZRZG/ref=pd_*****s_hpc_1

I know there is another kind of energy foods that are rich in caffeine which I have never used.  That kind of foods do not provide the fuels that you need but stimulate your nerve system.

Doping is a totally different story, I think.

My running log for the past week: from Monday to Saturday I have completed altogether about 30 miles.
