Stone, marble, and glass

Though it was always in my mind to upgrade the kitchen for my wife, but I am busying around with something else than finding some time to really do this. Finally, last week, I decided to put everything aside and made up my mind to fulfill my promise and make the wish become true. My original budget for the project is estimated around 400-500 bucks, which became obviously not realistic after my wife chose the color and style she likes: it is a marble, stone and glass blend finish. The final cost is way over my budget! For a few moments, I am kind of regretful of not making the decision by myself instead of giving up the choice. Oh, waiting a moment, I almost forget, the real situation is that I dont have the decision making authority, my only responsibility is paying the bill and getting the job done by myself if I can not afford for the installation cost! Following picture shows the final effect after a DIY upgrading.
