After seeing your post, I went back to the book but there is not more about it there. But actually I am more confident this ecstasy was more in a sexual/sensual sense than I thought because I assume the Caller was a man and the text indicated only women fainted. haha.However, you are right, ecstacy seems to be more related to religious or emotional feelings.
