回答: Robert Frost's Nothing Gold Can Stay 讀後感。NewVoice2012-02-23 03:51:07

I see two point of views regarding this poem, one is from optimistic, the other is from pessimistic.

Optimistically speaking, life is as such, constantly changing,  accept what it is and your life is easier; happiness is transitory, cherish what you’ve got, and be open to what has gone.
Pessimistically speaking one sees how cruel life is, the good thing never lasts long, it’s gone even before your realization of the existence of it, never mentioning the enjoyment of it,  and worse,  you can do nothing about it.

However I hold with the view of pessimism, I want this consciousness to enhance one's sense of appreciation, cherishment of the beauty of life, and make one’s life more enjoyable.

A master like Frost uses sound to give heft to a poem.
Find the alliteration (repetition of initial consonant sounds)that Frost uses:

• Line 1: green/gold
• Line 2: her/hardest/hue/hold, continued to line 3: her
• Line 7: dawn, down, day
He also repeats other sounds skillfully:
• Line 3: er in her early
• Line 4: o in only so
• Line 7: o in so/goes
