Today I finsihed the second race of my Four Seasons Half Marathon Challenge. So the challenge is half done for me. It was a cold and windy day. According to whether forecast, the temperature would be just below 40 at our starting time and slightly above 40 at finishing time, and the speed of the wind would be around 18 MPH. However, the course is around a beautiful lake in the midddle of a big city and is a very scenic one. The running course is flat and the running surface is good as well. We started at 8 in the morning. There were more than 1100 finishers. I finshed the course in less than 1 hour 56 minutes (8:45 pace) which ranks right in middle of my age and gender group. I started quite slowly for the first mile using 9:30 minutes but went faster after that. I felt very comfortable throughout the course. It was a fun run. Two of my colleagues who also participated in today's event broke their PR (personal record).
Every one who passed the finishing line of the race received a finisher medel as shown in the following picture.
The next challenge race will take place in April. The last one will occur in August which is supposed to be the toughest one due to the summer heat. Stay tuned.
