missed the race due to mess in communication and traffic -> due to the communication and traffic mess. 

so called a misplay Olymic -> 這個修飾詞用逗號隔開放在句未,好象結構有問題. 用括號括起來放在1996 Atlanta Olympics後,或用聯詞和前一句接會好些.
