日本日經指數收跌2%，香港恒生指數收盤時暴跌近5%。首爾、悉尼和上海的股市星期四在收盤時也都下跌至少2%。歐洲各主要股市在午盤交易時的跌幅至少為3%。

Japan's Nikkei index fell 2%, while Hongkong's Henseng index tumbled nearly 5% at the close. Stock markets in Soul, Sydney and Shanghai also lost at least 2%. All major European indexes were down by at least 3% in midday trading.
