生孩子費用問題, OUT OF NETWORK

老婆生孩子時,要打麻藥,
當時整個樓層就一個麻醉師,叫了半天才來,(注意, 是很好的醫院.)
打了一針,貼好, 過了半小時,不麻, 說時間不到,又不麻,
來檢查,發現針掉了,趕緊再打一針,帖好,
後又加藥, 加錯了, 嘔吐, 再加別的藥,反轉這個藥,就好了.
GOD BLESS!生下很健康的孩子.
出院時在電梯裏還看見麻醉師,說再見.

不久收到帳單,$3100,(兩針),麻醉師的. 才知道他是OUT OF NETWORK.
保險隻付900, 說是當地流行價.
把保險寄來的支票轉給DOCTOR OFFICE.說我們要付剩下的.
後來醫生也自己APPEAL 給我們的保險, 結果不知.
現在按時寄來帳單.

問題是,
-我們當時也沒法選麻醉,就一個人在那,這事也不能等,我們確實也沒問,很大的醫院,跟本沒多想.
-這OUT OF NETWORK的,都自己負剩下的嗎?
-我們都沒追究他的錯誤,你說這多打的一針,我們多受罪,還得自己交錢?
-怎麽處理比叫好? 也太冤了.
