I am a first year graduate student at a small university. I am doing my rotations in the first year. Initially, I promised to work with an Arabic assistant professor, because at that time, he was very nice and the people in the lab were nice. But one month after that, a black scientist in the lab insulted and actually he tried to sexual harrass me during the holidays when nobody except him and me in the lab before that. I was upset and even desperate. So I filed a formal complaint to the boss, and said I wanted to leave, because I cannot get over this(I didnot mention the sexual assault, only mentioned that person was rude). But the boss thought I embarrassed him, because nobody complained before me in the lab although that black guy insulted everyone(but only one is woman, me).
So he found fault with me, and said I was not polite when I talked to him, and sent me to the director. the director helped him and scold me heavily, although she knew who was wrong. Now they are afraid if I will sue them or complain to the dean or the university. So they are planing to dismiss me by giving me bad grads in courses(one is rotation with that Arabic professor, one is cell biology with the director). You know I am a top student at this department and I got straight As till now. So what can I do if they fail me in both courses? I believe I did very well in both, and I am a hard student.
