回複：ask help for job termination by discrimination

Not sure if you have a case here. If you are an indpendent investigator, why do you need your boss to sponsor GC? You can get it from the university. Your boss should only provide recommendation. If your appointment is under his group or lab, then you are not independent and everything you do belongs to your boss.
