To Whom It May Concern:
I am asking the Canada Post to compensate my loss, as a result of my mail was lost in Canada Post service.
I was going to China on July and August, 2010, and I would leave Boston on July 2.
A letter, including my Canadian passport which already had a visa to China was mailed at Canada Post, 1424 Sanford Flemming Avenue, Ottawa, K1G 1CO, on May 12, 2010 by XPresspost. The item number is LE 095 677 5xx CA. (please see attached 1 and 2)
After one week, I didn’t receive the letter, I check the local Somerville, MA post office, it was showed that the letter arrived New York NY (USPS) on May 13, 2010 (please see attached 3). After that day, I had been checking local office over 10 times, calling various telephones over 90 times, exploring internet endless times, and become more and more worried, and afraid, sometimes I spent a whole afternoon and evening to try to find where was the letter.
After one month, no any one told me whether I could continue waiting until finally the letter comes. So I had to leave work, buy greyhound ticket go Ottawa (please see attached 4, $193.60) and went to Chinese embassy to apply a new passport (attached 5, $157.00) and a new visa (attached 6, $100.00), I also had to take a new picture for passport (attached 7, $21.20), total: $471.80.
In addition, I ask $528.20 as the compensation for my time, worry, fear and psychological panic etc.
So, it’s total $1,000.
Please let me know any questions you may still have.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
