For me, risk/award at this time is favorable

The key support has not been broken yet. In worst case, I can buy here and take a stop loss which is not very far from where we are now anyway if key support is broken.

Otherwise, the reward is pretty good.

But I agree, for folks who are not experienced in spotting the key TA signals, it is best to wait for market bottoms and buy on the way up.
