這種情況算非法居留嗎？

正給老婆填 I-485，突然發現她的 I-20 和 H4 之間有7個多月的間隔。她的 I-20 在 2005年2月1日到期，而她的 H4 從2005年9月9日才開始有效。（我的 I-20 也是在2005年2月1日到期，H1 則是從2005年10月1日開始，在這個期間，我用的是 OPT）。也就是說，有7個月零7天沒有任何身份證明。這種情況算非法居留嗎？ 應該如何處理？
