A Notarized Docu called "Single Status Certificate"

You may try to get a notarized single status Certificate from the Notary in Beijing.

It seems some people who finalized their divorce in China never had a final divorce judgment issued to them. This was not what would be done in US.

Since USCIS treats all notarized documents issued by Chinese Government as acceptable, it may work if single status certificate is provided instead of just a marital settlement agreement. In US, MSA is only part of the documents ted when filing the divorce with court, the final divorce judgment is quite different.

The single status certificate states (for what I could remeber):
XX, born on XX, YY born on YY, was married on ?? date. they filed for divorce on ?? date. The divorce was granted after the mediation failed. XX remained single from the time of the date of the divorce and until he left of the country on ?? date.

In your case, you might do the following:
Get family or friends in Beijing to get a Single Status Certificate for you. Attached a translated Marital Settlement Agreement at the end and Get another Certificate: Stating that the the divorce was based on civil mediation which is cutomary in China to get a divorce. I don't know what they can do but it seems in China, the Notary never has a standard governing rule on what kind of statement can be notarized.

Immigration court does accept unauthenticated documents in some cases. If USCIS denied your 485. Appeal. Get affidavit from people in China proving that you were divorce according to the family law in China.
