Five steps to conquer the COVID epidemic

 1.  The United States should enact a unified nationwide temporary closure of all non- essential businesses and barred its employees from leaving home for 12 weeks to minimize the overall incidence of the disease and achieve stability. All 50 states are working together to avoid multiple waves of different spatiotemporal epidemics.

 

2. When the epidemic situation stabilizes, it will gradually open up and pay close attention to exchanges with other countries to prevent a rebound. China's experience has proved feasible. Use high technology to monitor positive individuals and contact history, and treat them in time.

 

3. Treatment should come faster than vaccines.  Antiviral drugs reduce dependence on the ventilator.  Antibodies in the plasma of cured patients may be effective, but the sources are limited and can be used for prevention in the most at risk. 

 

4. The US economy can begin to revive after 4 months.  Of course, there will be a small number of new cases, but they can be controlled, and we will wait for drugs and vaccines in the future.

 

5. Rebuilding American manufacturing, the US should produce its own medicines, masks and essentials.
