Distal supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendinosis. A T2 hyperintense defect in
the articular surface fibers of the distal supraspinatus measures between 5 and
9 mm in the transverse dimension, consistent with partial tear. A minimal amount
of fluid is seen in the subacromial subdeltoid bursa.
Evaluation of the biceps labral complex demonstrates a SLAP tear on images 9 and
10, series 6. The biceps labral complex otherwise appears intact. Mild signal
alteration in the anterior inferior labrum may be indicative of mild
degeneration.
Poor definition and mildly increased signal at the humeral attachment aspect of
the inferior glenohumeral complex on series 6 may be indicative of prior injury
and reported adhesive capsulitis, with a small amount of ill-defined T2
hypointense material in the axillary pouch.
Minimal AC joint arthrosis. A small subacromial osteophyte is noted at the
lateral inferior margin of the acromion on images 17 and 18, series 7.
Intermediate elevated signal in the long head of the biceps tendon in the
rotator interval is suggestive of tendinosis. No evidence of marrow edema or
glenohumeral joint effusion.
