Sorry, can not type chinese today.
1. Urology and ortho are two specialties that women doctors rarely consider in the past. However, the barrier becomes less prominent nowadays.
In my hospital, I know 2 female ortho surgeons (out of maybe 20), and ~ 5 urology female residents (no female urology attendings in my hospital yet).
2. Ortho is a really competitive specialty. Bias against girls may still exist in many ortho programs. Therefore, it could be harder for girls to successfully match into ortho programs.
3. As for the work, I do not think there is anyting that female surgeons can not handle in ortho.
4. Personality is the key: decisive, confidence, extrovert, ect.
5. If she already did her rotation, and enjoys it, and she got good connection, go for it! Let her live her dream. She is already an adult, she will make her decision based on her prefernce and judgements.
