Level 3 (99283):
Injury involving direct blow to the head with completed
neurological exam.
Acute pain, unknown etiology
Abscesses
Fever 100.5 or greater
Any condition for which prescription medication is
prescribed.
Complaints of SOB, CP, HA, abdominal pain, or allergic
reaction without further work‐up in the ER
