巨噬細胞是白細胞的一種.它會被一種糖蛋白,叫做GC巨噬細胞活化因子(簡稱為GC-MAF)所活化而吞噬/消滅外來物或變異的細胞--癌細胞.但是癌細胞會產生一種酶,叫阿爾法-N-乙酰氨基酶(Nagalase(alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase)),而山本(Dr.Yamamoto)的理論是給癌症患者注射GC-MAF,激活他們的巨噬細胞來對抗癌症.他早在1997年就在雜誌上發表論文,顯示注入GC-MAF到有癌細胞的小鼠,能使小鼠從16天生存到大約35天.但沒有“治愈”,由於腫瘤細胞繼續繁殖,最終殺死老鼠.

2008年他又做了一些乳癌患者治療的研究,但論文被撤下.

去年日本的Toshio Inui醫生也報道了他的結果,你自己讀吧:

Toshio Inui, MD, of the Saisei Mirai Clinic in Kobe, Japan, has treated over 345 patients with GcMAF combined with other modalities, and reports his results in Anticancer Research July 2013 (2,3).

At the Saisei Mirai clinic, Dr. Inui treats cancer patients with GcMAF immunotherapy in combination with other related therapies, such as intravenous vitamin C, alpha-lipoic acid, hyperthermia, and LDN (low-dose naltrexone).

Dr Inui says his results are mixed, and describes his treatment as "hopeful." He presents three cases in which treatment was remarkably effective:

The advent of the internet has led to a wild proliferation of stories of ‘miracle cures’ for cancer – virtually all of which are based on shaky (or zero) science.

Some companies are selling Gc-MAF for use by cancer patients. This treatment is not approved or licensed in the UK for treating cancer or any 0ther disease. Given that there is no solid scientific evidence to show that the treatment is safe or effective, we would not recommend that cancer patients use it. [Updated KA 25/07/14]

Cancer is an extremely complex disease. In fact, it is more than 200 distinct diseases, each requiring different treatment. And the success of treatment depends on many things, including the genetic make-up of the tumour, the stage of diagnosis, and how aggressive the cancer is.

To suggest that there is a ‘magic bullet’ that cures all cancers is simplistic in the extreme.
