根據Dr.Sandeep Jauhar的新書“Dortered　The Disillusionment of an American Physician”，　所謂private practice的醫生都有盡量多做測試來掙錢的經濟動機，他舉的一例"Spending 20-30 minutes with a patient might be reimbursed $80, $90, but sending the patient for a nuclear stress test was much more profitable," Jauhar tells Fresh Air's Terry Gross. "A nuclear stress test, at the time when I started working, was reimbursed roughly $800 to $900."
