a few possibilities

1. a type of stroke: blockage of the opthalmic artery from carotid artery
2. eye disease

suggestions:

1. See an eye physican
2. Have a CTA or MRA of neck with contrast to see if any large vessel stenosis in the neck.

Drug:

1. Baby Aspirin if: smoker, HTN and DM
2. Add Chlestrol medication if hyperlipidemia
