腎功能衰竭分期

eGFR levels are linked to CKD stages:

  • Stage 1 CKD: eGFR is 90 or greater, indicating normal kidney function but with mild damage to the kidneys. This stage is characterized by possible kidney damage with normal kidney function.

  • Stage 2 CKD: eGFR is between 60-89, indicating kidney damage with mild loss of kidney function. This stage is characterized by kidney damage with mild loss of kidney function.

  • Stage 3a CKD: eGFR is between 45-59, indicating mild to moderate loss of kidney function. This stage is characterized by swelling in hands and feet, back pain, and changes in urination frequency.

  • Stage 3b CKD: eGFR is between 30-44, indicating moderate to severe loss of kidney function. Symptoms are similar to Stage 3a but may be more pronounced.

  • Stage 4 CKD: eGFR is between 15-29, indicating severe loss of kidney function. Symptoms include high blood pressure, anemia, and bone disease.

  • Stage 5 CKD: eGFR is less than 15, indicating that the kidneys are close to failure or have already failed. At this stage, people may feel very sick and need dialysis or a kidney transplant to survive.

Understanding your eGFR level helps in determining the appropriate management and treatment options for CKD. Early detection and intervention can help slow down the progression of the disease and maintain kidney function for as long as possible.
