蘋果醋有兩種：“with the mother”的和“without the mother”的

With the mother: 保持著發酵過程中產生的微生物（益生菌）

Without the mother: 經過過濾滅菌

許多人認為前者更健康。

乍看覺得英文的Mother在這個語境下很怪，但仔細想想更常用的漢語詞匯酵母中的母也就是這個意思。
