一位七十多歲的朋友

身體不錯，但視力出現問題，因為兒子在波士頓工作，所以來這裏看眼睛。經檢查，是白內障，可以考慮手術，但突然他失去了知覺，家人打911送急診，蘇醒後並無大礙，但短期記憶完全喪失，自己感到很困惑，不明白為什麽會在波士頓？

醫生認為可能是小中風，做了各項檢查，認知毫無問題，從生活常識到總統選舉對答如流，腿腳活動也毫無問題。MRI等監測發現腦健康程度相當於五十多歲的人，絲毫沒有中風的跡象。但就是把最近兩個星期的事情忘得一幹二淨。

年輕的醫生覺得無法解釋和診斷，隻好請來了老專家，立刻就找到了問題的根源。
