Flu season has started earlier this year. Combined with an increase in RSV, COVID-19 and other influenza-like illnesses, we are seeing a high number of patient calls, visits and portal requests. As a result, you may experience delays in your care team’s response to non-urgent matters and medication refills. To help take control of your health care, please consider the following:
- Schedule routine visits in advance
- Request prescription refills earlier
- Try and stay healthy (wear a mask, stay up-to-date on flu and COVID-19 vaccinations)
Please be aware that during this unusually busy time:
- Call hold times will be longer (during the day and after hours)
- Staffing is still short in many of our practices
- The CDC website has many helpful tips in case you get the flu
