我下帖鏈接中hemp和marijuana的區別，完全是人為的一種分類方法。其實二者原本的定義內涵不同，不可相互比較。

比如hemp的定義，是植物學的定義，是植物學的一個科的植物，而不是一種植物（參考）。

“a family of plants, some of which are used to make rope and strong, rough cloth and others of which are used to produce the drug cannabis”。

而marijuana的定義, 是這種植物的female hemp或大麻植物（cannabis plant）的幹燥樹脂質的花蕾或葉子。

“the psychoactive dried resinous flower buds and leaves of the female hemp or cannabis plant (Cannabis sativa or C. indica) that contain high levels of THC...”

從邏輯學來講，兩個詞的內涵不同，一起平行比較不合適。

但是，法律對此hemp和marijuana的區別有硬性的規定，就是0.3THC含量為界，是人為的規定，相信對量刑之類的事情會有影響。
