Aleady have an IDE with the Windows installed on, want to add a Hard Disk. The additional HD is a SATA one, want to keep the old one as Master and new one as Slave, but found no way to set jumper for the SATA one. Anyone has any ideas?
If leave as default, in BIOS, it picks up the SATA but as another Master, however in Windows, the SATA one does not show. Tried to move the jumper on the SATA one to different positions, but the result is the same, Master in BIOS, nothing shown in Windows. As many would know, the jumper pins on a SATA is different to those on an IDE one. There are 4 pins, but there is only 1 row, while in an IDE one, there are 8 pins together, on 2 rows.
My SATA Hard Disk is a Maxtor DiamondMax 10, 250 GB.
Could any expert help please?
How to set Slave for SATA Hard Disk?
