program did it. It happened when I tried to run the just compiled EXE program, giving me the famous blue screen. The blue screen happened only once during my writing/compiling/executing routines, and it's enough. It could be that the program accessed some sensitive part of memory or HD.
Therefore, my program worked like a malicious virus in this case.
Uninstalling the driver did not help.
You are right that the kernel seems not affected, since I can still login from the login panel. Only the window manager related DLLs are affected, from what I can tell.
Another weired thing is that IE can only have one window, meaning that if I do "Open in new Window" for 新聞直通車 and the new session starts from there but this 實用電腦 window will disappear.
The program "autoruns" didn't tell much of the problem. I remember Windows also has a log viewer showing which processes failed during bootup/login. Do you know the name?
I feel lucky that my IE and network are functioning, and most important, I'm getting helps from experts like you. Thank you very much!!!!!!!
