Thx!It took a while to restore to a given date, but

after reboot, the windows says that "can not be restored and stay with the currect configuration" without giving any specific reasons.

I am writing code dealing with USB data communication, using DDK from Cypress. What I interpret the problem is that some DLL files related to WMD have been damaged and so, the Windows Explorer cannot run properly.

If I run c:\Windows\Explorer.exe from Task Manager, nothing happens. However, a number of other executables can still run from Task Manager.

There might be a problem with the Registry table. Unfortunately I am not familiar with it, and don't know what to check or to modify.

Thx again! I need more help!!!!!!!
