
First, low qaulity hardware can give you trouble no matter what OS you use. Different OSes may stress hardware differently though. There are more than one "Download Accelerator" out there so I don't know which one you have installed. Unless the accelerator utilizes low level packet compression technology to speed things up which may need to install its own driver, it should work at user level (not kernal level which causes BSOD-blue screen of death). Have you tried to uninstall the accelerator software? IMHO, it's not worth using this kind of software. btw: Do you have any detail info about your BSOD?
