It may depend on which brand and what size you take.

My Intel X25M 80 GB SSD has no problem for more than 3 months.

I installed 4 OS on it and am quite happy with good boot performance.

Ubuntu (15 seconds)

Windows 7 and Snow Leopard (20 seconds)

Windows XP (30 seconds)
