All you have to do is the following:

1. Be an AT&T home phone customer (If you don't have home phone, you can still have DSL, then it is $20 a month, same speed).

2. Order DSL service online (only online will give $10 a month).

3. Cancel your home phone.

In this case, you have to buy your modem.

Or, you can have a free modem from AT&T and have $250 rebate if you do the following:

1. Order cable internet, the cheapest possible.

2. after receiving the first bill, call AT&T and order one of the higher speed DSL internet and get a free modem or wireless gateway and up to $300 in rebates. See link for special offers.

3. As soon as AT&T DSL is working, call your cable company to put your service on "Vacation".

4. Wait for all your rebate from AT&T to come back, then cancel AT&T DSL.

5. put your cable internet back to use. Order AT&T home phone.

6. Wait 3 months then use your home phone number to order the $10 DSL internet online (after 3 months, you are considered a new customer again) then you can use your old modem from AT&T

7. Cancel cable internet and AT&T home phone.

8. now you have AT&T DSL for $10 for the rest of your life.
