No if you have multiple partitions on your computer. As I said, you install the new XP into a different partition than the one your old XP resides.

And even if you only have one partition, if you use some partition tool like Partition Magic, you can safely create a new partition (of course, you should have enough free space on your current partition) and achieve the same result.

The key point is you don't install your Chinese XP into the same partition in which you already have the English XP. This will very likely cause problems to your system.

To be safe, it's always recommended that before doing this kind of operation, you back up your important data first. By the way, if you're not very familiar with this operation, I suggest you ask someone who knows it to do it for you.
