I said: 上麵的是工作三年以上的員工, 不到三年的是 70 % base salary。
Actually the difference is between exempt employees and non-exempt employees:
Short Term Disability (STD) benefits provide a percentage of your earnings in disability income, for approved STD claims, as shown in the chart below.
For non-exempt employees, the longer you are employed with the Company, or one of its subsidiaries, the higher percentage of your earnings you will receive for STD, up to 26 weeks including the one week waiting period during which you will use PLB/PTO.
Exempt employees receive 100% of pay while out on an approved STD claim, after a one week waiting period during which you will use Flexible Time Off (FTO).
Years of Service | Non-Exempt Employees STD Coverage Amount | Exempt Employees STD Coverage Amount |
---|---|---|
Fewer than 3 years | 50% of eligible earnings | 100% of eligible earnings |
3 years to fewer than 8 years | 60% of eligible earnings | 100% of eligible earnings |
8 years to fewer than 15 years | 70% of eligible earnings | 100% of eligible earnings |
15 years or more | 80% of eligible earnings | 100% of eligible earnings |
