Developer and cyber security are total different field...

Cyber security is new and in middle market because employee for government or very large public sectors.  However, you need certificate and experience to challege.  

It's really depended on your capability and learning, trouble shoot skills.  I would not suggest you to switch.  Also, you won't be promoted soon in cyber security field.
