Got a verbal offer, sent email to negotiate salary, no response

Got a verbal offer for senior software enginneer position. Offer is far below the local average salary for similar positions. Sent salary negotiation email to ask for less than 9% increase. No response after 2 days.  Is it possble the offer was pulled?

Anything can be done to save the offer?
