Usually, in civil/structural/geotechnical engineering consulting business. For engineers be paid $100,000 -$160,000, the rate to client would be roughly $120/hour to $180/hour, for PM or EM, the rate will be over $200/hour. Have you done any estimation work of your geotechnical business yet?
