請教：公司這樣的要求合理嗎

我在一家IT公司工作近八年。由於孩子教育問題，希望由full time轉為part time. 為此，公司提出以下要求：

1) She will have to resign and her current contract would be terminated

2)  She would then sign a part time contract using our new standard contract starting on the same date with the specific hours we agree with her.

我知道公司提出這一要求是因為我手上持有公司的options.  如果我辭職，根據規定我將被歸入“bad leaver" 類，大部分的option將失效 。我想問一下公司這樣的要求合理嗎？公司還確定了我轉為part time之後，"will not qualify for the option scheme". 我可以接受這一點，但是覺得讓我放棄已持有的option 有點過分。
