職業生涯遭遇瓶頸...

現在35歲，覺得職業生涯有點尷尬。在小一點的公司，就是senior software engineer, 在大公司，就是SDE 2. 現在在西雅圖，年薪+獎金差不多13萬 。不知道下一步該向哪個方向努力。不喜歡當領導，討厭開會，喜歡埋頭做事。沒有北美的文憑，所以想要做大公司的researcher基本上是不可能的。 目前想到的方向：

1) 爭取成為software architect，從本質上提高薪水，估計以後可以拿到２０萬＋？
2) 多跳幾家公司，爭取以後做consultant, 拿 $120+/hr ?

請問我估計的這兩個工資數目準確嗎？哪個更加容易？更有前途？ 從來沒有做過architect，覺得那些人好像很牛的，不知道自己能不能達到那個水準，也不知道要學哪些東西才可以。

如果搬去灣區，工資應該會有大幅度上升，可是多了10%的州稅，以及生活成本提高，基本上也就抵消了工資的漲幅。。。
