make our decision based on our previous experience. What i am trying to say is that even the boss is not a good boss, it still worths to keep good connection; of course that will depend on one's judgement.

Honestly i think what the boss does is very typical in a research institute, nothing particular bad. It will take two-three mornings of 123 (less than 8 hours in total) to finish the work. I would do it, if I were her.
