with a smile (do not show any negative emotion), ask him what does he mean by "magic experiments"? also with a smile, demanding him to show you what is worng, his detail concerns, which portion is not repeatable? etc. ALWAYS asking detail questions without showing bad emotion when facing-off those types of situations if you are confident that whatt you did is right. but be prepared to repeat your experiments under 3rd-party monitoring.
If you have no obligation to share what you do with him, stop sharing. You cannot at one hand keeping sharing with him, at the other hand complaining about him using your ideas.
I won't go directly to the boss to complain just yet, but go to the boss to emphasize your own positives as much as situation permits. Bosses usually do not like negatives, but they surely like positives
