Juniper experience is a must have
Juniper EX series switches, MX routers and SRX security devices. Chassis
Cluster and Virtual Chassis experience
Spanning tree 802.3ad, Link Aggregation LACP VLAN trunking IKE/IPSEC
Static routing OSPF experience.
IPv6 experience
BGP experience
Ability to think and operate under pressure
Must be extremely familiar with Unix/Linux networking
Strong documentation skills. Being able to explain things in layman terms
Experience with Citrix Netscaler Load Balancing Monitoring experience
Citrix Netscaler (alerting, graphing, trends) Packet analysis and traffic inspection
Substantial experience in some of the following areas:
Security Standards Development, Technology Service Development,
Information Classification Modeling, Risk Management, Incident
Handling and Response, Program Management, and Budget Forecasting.
Responsibilities:
Overall network support, design and architecture
Provisioning new ports
Bringing up new switches
Changing VLANs
Assigning IP space
Creating security policies and exceptions.
Documentation
Contributing to standards and procedures. Software upgrades. Working
with bandwidth providers on any issues
Helping the systems team troubleshoot connectivity issues (Unix environment)
Troubleshooting physical media issues
