我覺得大家都小看這個VP了吧。

這裏主要的意見是樓主為了工作，而VP本身unprofessional，所以隻要做的事是對的，沒什麽好擔心的。

However, the VP is hired to be in that position for a reason. Maybe he is unprofessional in certain things, but he maybe really good in something else.  At work, if you look down upon anybody, it will back fire.

If OP is 勤勤懇懇，任勞任怨的員工, he wouldn't do what he did.  Now, this happened, he needs to be really on the alert.  Be proactive to have a good relationship with VP and also the big boss.  Not to the extent of brown nosing, but, the he pretty much needs to say good-bye to the style of  勤勤懇懇，任勞任怨的員工. 

I may not suggest the OP to do anything different, but I would suggestion him to have a different attitude....
