The teacher came to my house 3 times a week,

each lesson was about 45 mins.  She listened to my speaking and picked out the sounds that I had issues with, then we worked on them.  It helped and initially I was addicted to it, later she went out for vacations too much and couldn't keep the lessons.  That kind of affected my motivation as well.  Anyway, it was a good experience in general and I did improve quite a lot after grasping some of the techniques, that said if I paid attention I could speak pretty well but I didn't always pay attention. :)   The course lasted about half or one year -- which I forgot.
