If you believe you are right, and the Inidan guy is wrong, you may have a private chat with him and explain to him what has happened and it was your work that acutally solved the problem.  By doing that, you may hint it to him that he had actually made a fool of himself in front of al the people.  but, don't make him feel bad.  Make him feel it was nice of you to point this out to him.
Or if you are good at it, you can send him an e-mail cc your boss to clarify what actually happened. 
To the outside, you are are a group.  His credit, is your credit, is your boss's credit.  No point fight in front of other people.
