I feel that a lot of time ppl come here ask for comments about their specific situations. The suggestions we give as readers may vary quit a bit based the context.

In this case, we know Saise is making the transition from DBA to BI developer with this move. He can't be the top gun in BI and a must-hire for the new company.

Also, he has posted the salary requirment to HR previously. You can almost trust that the HM will be aware of the number by the time Saise meets with him. And, HM may very well be aware that Saise is asking for a 40% increase in salary if their HR does their homework.
