It's very important to follow the rules as specified in the postings down to a tee, including the time requirement.

Sometimes they have strong candidates from within. Other times, they don't. You won't be able to tell by just looking at the length of the opening period. So, you best bet would be to present the best application for yourself and let the chips fall where they may..
