That person AAA sent an e-mail to everybody except for you and made a wrong claim.  You need to correct it to everybody, so there is no misundstanding circle around.  If your e-mail is fact based, there is nothing wrong about it, an din my opinion, is what you should do.
Hopefully, everybody will find AAA's bahavior is disgusting.
