Option1: Accounting Analyst (Flat orgarnization and work under CFO) in a decent size Hedge fund: in charge of investment accounting and funds reporting and regulatory reporting. Pro: will become farmilar with Hedge fund Accounting / Reporting from internal operation perspective. Marketable skills. Con: Work is basic, flat org has no room to move up. Title is not glamorous.
Option 2: Internal audit manager at top tire global assest management firm. Pro: big name. many vertical layers provide possibility to climb up the ladder. Cons: high requirement on soft (people/ leadership) skils which doesn't come nature for me.
Compensation is about the same.
